Nordblast blasting equipment has achieved a solid following among professionals users in the Nordic countries.

As a gentle and environmentally friendly blasting method, sodablasting offers a range of new opportunities for many enterprises.

Pekkaniska Oy has adopted the Nordblast blasting equipment for cleansing of their machinery and access platforms of dirt and paint.

Sodablasting is a particularly suitable method for the company because soda does no harm to the original powderpaint, it only removes the splashes of paint stuck on the machine’s original coat of paint. After sodablasting, the machines are as good as new and look much more representative once sent back to the next work site.

Our sodablasting equipment is suitable for the restoration of historic sites and museum items. Because of its gentleness and friendliness to the environment, the sodablasting method is approved by the National Board of Antiquities.

Nordblast blasting equipment played a key role in Turku, when a historic restaurant was being renovated. The equipment was used there for the blasting of wooden, stone and metal surfaces over several months.

The Rally Finland 2010 champion Kalle Pinomäki, and his enterprise Set Promotion Ltd, decided to adopt sodablasting immediately after hearing about it. The enterprise of Mr. Pinomäki builds racing cars for a variety of competition series.

Nordblast blasted the winning car before its refurbishment for the new season was commenced. The car was painted with a very hard powder coat, which the owner did not like. Even the hard paint coat could be removed from the car and both parties were satisfied with the result.

One of our customers encountered a problem with selling a second-hand outboard motor. This motor was a Yamaha just a few years old, which had been changed for a bigger new one.

The problem was the colour of the motor, which, to prevent theft, had been spray-painted pink. Selling such a motor on was challenging, to say the least. We decided to do an experiment and blast the pink colour off using soda. As a result, the original surface of the machine was recovered from under the pink paint, and even the stickers remained intact. The people at Yamaha Marine Center were very pleased with the result, and it was much easier for them to sell the machine on.

Companies within the damage renovation field have adopted the Nordblast sodablasting equipment with enthusiasm. The equipment in the NB series have been used in many different locations for repairing damage.

In the location shown in the picture, damage after a fire on the balcony of a block of flats is being repaired. Due to the low consumption of soda and its water-solubility, the work proceeded much more quickly and easily. Thanks to its gentleness, soda does not damage glass and, because of the minimum of protection required, it is suitable for use, for example, on balconies.
